My sister- by Charlie G

Feel thee artist's grief as he paints the villian in red with the big destructive hands reaching for the beloved toys and toothbrush.
"That's my baby sister grabbing my toys all the time, and my toothbrush she broked it and it was a New Zealand one, it was a gold toothbrush."

Chicken Pox

Last week Charlie got Chicken pox. This week Zara got it. Had to happen sooner or later? We came up with a way to take her to the shops-and no one will know it is her!!!

Garden Gnome and Spiderman

This is Charlie- not Spiderman. He had his face painted at his Kindy open day. It looked fab when it was first done, but a lollypop made an impact on the original design....
Meanwhile at home Zara(gnome) was keeping herself busy, busy in the garden. Just after this shot was taken the little bit of water and dirt that was in her bucket was poured down the front of her- self inflicted.... it all ended in tears as the water was cold and her shoes got dirty.

where these two seperated at birth?

Meet Charlie's buddy Jack!
They are the same height, blue eyes, giggle alike, have the same haircut and colour, and play and play and play when others would drop and need a rest.

More photos of the Vietnam trip

Awards night at the reunification Palace

A rare photo of Paul and I together. Extra bonus he had his eyes open and I have 1 chin.

This interesting character was the leader of the band that played at the awards night.
He was once an American rocker that had a few hits in the 80's. But, nobody could tell me who he is or was.
a lot of the time we were not sure if he was aware we were in the room, he was in a zone of his own...
We aren't sure who was the one meant to be getting the bigger thrill? him having his photo taken with us or, if he thought he was doing us the favour??
Entertaining none the less. Think the movie- Music and Lyrics.

At the awards night everone was made a traditional costume to wear. All the men went as waiters!

This is Gordon the CEO of ITM and host.

Hard at work on the cooking class

Before we went to the cooking class we were taken to the local market to buy the food "fresh". Rather off putting watching the live fish flipping about and the smell was over whelming.

"sorry, you expect me to eat that!!?"
We all became a little worried when we asked what a meat was that was hanging on a hook. The guides all looked at each other, and muttered under their breath and quickly dismissed it with "maybe beef."
Not a great answer... Maybe "bow wow."
Thinking I might be a vegan today.
We were also giving a cup of Weasel Coffee beans to sample the aroma. I do not advise. Weasel coffee is made by feeding the beans to the weasels, they then poo them out and the beans are collected and dried and sold at market. ... Vegan -tea drinker 0nly.
Who ever wrote "the bucket list" must of come to this market too?

GI Paul

All of the day trips were sponsored by companies that were on the trip. In return we had to wear their tshirts...hmmm.

Going down a rat hole.

Happy as a baby in ...Mud?

Charlie and Zara went to Max's house for the afternoon. Max was good enough to introduce them to the delights of mixing dirt and water together-MUD. Something that Mummy had been avoiding for as long as possible.

Charlie was happy to stay and dig in the dry dirt, but Zara was thrilled to get as filthy as possible in the wet stuff...
